Podcast #269-Jeff Bundschu of Gundlach-Bundschu, Sonoma. 10th Anniversary Podcast ReBroadcast.

March 26, 2018by Ray FisterNo Comments

May of this year will be the 10th anniversary of this experiment we call Life Between the Vines. To celebrate we offer a rebroadcast of our very first interview. Jeff Bundschu of Gundlach-Bundschu in Sonoma was in Milwaukee to host a wine dinner at Bacchus in 2008. The next day Jeff came by the studio to chat about his life in wine and growing up in the vineyard. We caught up with Jeff briefly in Sonoma at the Barrel Auction last year and he was surprised at how quickly the time passed. Jeff has always been important to our podcast not only since he made time for us, but he has helped out with suggestions and contacts. With that we say a huge thank you Jeff, and thank all of you for listening.

Podcast #268-Chris Madrigal of Madrigal Family Winery, Napa Valley

March 19, 2018by Ray FisterNo Comments

As everyone knows, Napa Valley is home to many wineries. But more important is the fact that a huge amount of those wineries are family owned. You see it in their name. In this case, we’ve known Chris Madrigal, owner of Madrigal Family Winery for several years but this is the first time we’ve done a sit down interview with him. And it was a great sit down. As you will see in the video, Chris sits with the Mountain range behind him on the deck outside the tasting room. Make an appointment to taste the wine and sit on the deck. You may never want to leave.

Podcast #267-Armando Castagnedi of Tenuta Sant’Antonio

March 12, 2018by Ray FisterNo Comments

Over the last few months we have been fortunate to record several interviews with Italian winemakers both here and in Italy. Italian wine continues to be a fascination. There is so much to learn and some incredible wines to taste. Once again we are in Chicago, this time to interview Armando Castagnedi of Tenuta Sant’Antonio. Armando has visited the US many times and brings with him some excellent wines that are also a great value. Like any wine, Italian wine is a continuing education. We hope you walk away growing your love for Italian wine.
