No doubt you’ve learned from these podcasts that winemakers are a very interesting lot. We’ve recorded well over 500 winemakers but Don Hagge moves to the front of the line as one of the most fascinating. Don was an avid bicyclist well into his 60’s, a Navy pilot in the Korean War, a physicist at NASA and now, a winegrower in Oregon. We left out inventor. And maybe a few other things. Don grows Chehalem Mountain Pinot Noir and Chardonnay under the Vidon label in the Willamette Valley. It was my privilege to meet with this amazing man and wine lover.

You can hear Don on our Vino Lingo segment defining the term “Tractor Blight”
