Near the top of Spring Mountain, somewhere around 2000 feet, you’ll find a brand new winery. They have a unique name as well. Flying Lady. Not surprising considering all of the principles are pilots. Ross Bentley is a St Helena native and knows Spring Mountain from his younger years hiking up through the trees. He never dreamed he would have a winery in the middle of this splendor. We met with Ross at the new winery and had a great time taking a tour and listening to his plans for the wine and the winery. Dreams do come true. You just have to work for them.

You can hear Ross on our Vino Lingo segment giving us his definition of the wine term “Crushed Ant”
