When your family has been farming in
Alexander Valley for over 140 years it puts a heavy responsibility on
your shoulders. Then adding a family wine label to the business, you
need to be be nothing short of excellent. We met with Munselle
Vineyards owner Brett Munselle at the vineyard office back in early
December. The drive through Alexander Valley is one of my favorites
but the leftover effects of the Kincade fire were evident all along
the way. Winemakers are survivors and certainly the weather and luck
play a heavy role in the outcome of this event. Take a listen to
Brett’s story and see how a grower becomes a winemaker.
