The history of Napa Valley and Sonoma may be surprising to those that take the time to read up on the past. The colorful characters of history almost seem to be reborn in modern day winemaking. Brian Maloney is Winemaker at Buena Vista and this is our second interview with him, the first being back in January of 2018 (Podcast #258). History is in this wine. And wine is passion.

While the Sonoma fires came dangerously close to the winery, Buena Vista survived and continues to grow. Now the industry looks for tourism to return to some of the most beautiful vineyards in the world. We met with Brian in November in the cozy confines of the historic Buena Vista Champaign cellar.
