In Napa Valley as well as the rest of the world, sparkling wine not made in France’s Champagne district, is called sparkling wine. There, we’ve gotten that straight. Of course it’s ironic that Ludovic Dervin winemaker for Mumm Napa Valley was born in Champagne, but I digress. We visited with Ludovic in February after meeting him at Auction Napa Valley last June…but this time we were able to do a full tasting of the excellent offerings he makes.
