Who would’ve ever thought to blend French grapes with Long Island grapes? James and Alexandra Medwick of Maiden and Liberty Winery, in Long Island New York, that’s who. Great wine made in a very different way. We spoke with James and Alexandra via telephone while they were in the south of France preparing for harvest. She is French and he is American. Sounds to us like a pretty good  blend, Oui?

Continuing with our series of interviews with Australian Winemakers this week we feature Tim Duval of John Duval Wines from the Barossa Valley. As part of the Australia Up Close event, we were able to taste many excellent wines from this amazing country.
