Podcast #388 – Joe Nielsen, Director of Winemaking, Ram’s Gate Winery, Carneros, Sonoma

June 15, 2020by Ray FisterNo Comments

While Covid-19 has created havoc in our world many wineries have been doing online tastings to continue to stay active with their followers. Wineries in California are slowly starting to open with limited tastings by reservation only, in order to follow health and safety guidelines. As we continue our podcasts via phone interviews, this week we feature Joe Nielsen, Director of Winemaking for Ram’s Gate Winery in the Carneros AVA of Sonoma. Carneros is a very special place and Joe has found a great home to grow his wines.

You can also hear Joe on our Vino Lingo segment defining the term “Bastard Barrel”
