If you keep up with news in the wine business you are likely aware of Come Over October. Created by Karen MacNeal, Gina Colangelo and Kimberly Noelle Charles, Come Over October celebrates wine, friendships and and in-person connection. Kimberly is also Founder of Charles Communications in San Francisco, a veteran of the wine industry. I chatted with Kimberly by phone a couple weeks ago to learn more about her background in wine as well as what’s next for Come Over October.
You can also hear Kimberly on our Vino Lingo segment defining the acronym “DNPIM”

To the east of Napa Valley, passing over Howell Mountain lies a lesser travelled but very special wine growing area, Pope Valley. To those that have made the trip, it is a look at what Napa Valley might have been a long time ago. For this podcast, I visited Pope Valley Winery. I toured the winery with General Manager Diana Hawkins as we readied for her interview. It was a trip through time. The winery was a lesson in the old west. You can walk away, but it never leaves you.
Watch for our interview with Diana’s brother David, coming in the next few weeks.
