This is not the first time I’ve sat down for an interview with Cary Gott but this time I wanted to dig deeper into his wine background. Cary Gott Vineyard & Winery Estates has a long history in wine and Cary literally grew up in the business. He should really write a book but for the time being, this covers a fair amount of territory for a man who made his own history. Well, I hope he writes a book anyway.

Cole Ballantine is the Assistant Winemaker at William Cole Vineyards in Napa Valley. And he is the 5^th generation in wine. Both his parents are 4^th generation in their respective families. That is a fantastic bit of history. But history goes deep in the Valley. We’ve been fortunate enough to interview several multi-generational family members in our 16 years online, and each story shows the determination and passion it takes to survive and thrive.
