Comradery and comedy seem to be one of the secrets behind the wines at Arroyo Cellars in Livermore Valley. Tim Sauer and John Chiprich are Winemakers and Co-owners at Arroyo they seem to have the ability to finish each others sentences with a chuckle. I met with them at the tasting room a few weeks ago to find out how this Pittsburgh guy and California guy found each other and discovered their common goal of wine.

Making wine in Livermore Valley is special because the winemakers here are very close and often family. They offer help each other in time of need. Alexandra Henkelman is Owner and Winemaker at Omega Road Winery and her father is a major part of the team. Most of our listeners know that to be a winery owner as well as winemaker is no simple task. The business demands much of your time, but this is where Rosa Fierro shines. Wine, simply put, is her passion and love. Rosa not only produces around 1000 cases annually but she also spends a great deal of time in the tasting room, which is located in Vasco Row, Livermore Valley.
