The importance of soil when planting a vineyard can’t be understated. Winemakers need an expert to be part of the team that makes major decisions when planting. Dr. Paul Anamosa was our guest, via telephone for Podcast #459 in October of last year and now we catch up, in person. The science of winemaking is fascinating and I hope you enjoy this deep dig. It was great to finally meet Paul face to face and talk dirt.

All you wine lovers listening to this podcast know how exceptional wine from Chile can be. The wine is not only a great value but very age worthy as well. For this program I spoke by phone with Sofia Araya, Head Winemaker at Veramonte Wines. While it would have been great to visit in person, I had a totally enjoyable chat with Sofia in late June. While it was warm here, it was getting cold there.
You can also listen to Sofia on our Vino Lingo segment defining the term “Permase”.
