Our last visit with Tom Gamble of Gamble Family Vineyards was back in September of 2016 (Podcast #199) and now we are back in the Valley, in person with Tom. Gamble Family Vineyards is hidden in plain sight just off highway 29 and well worth the find. I met up with Tom in early December to get caught up on the happenings at the winery as well as looking back at the crazy year known at 2020.

Winemakers certainly don’t grow on trees but they do grow from many diverse backgrounds in the workforce. Their passion always grows to the surface. Stephen Cruzan is Winemaker at Titus Vineyards, a well known name is Napa Valley. The Titus tasting room was completed only a few years ago and is easily found on the Silverado Trail. Make an appointment, do a tasting and see for yourself. Is Napa wine special? Why yes it is.
Several years ago I met Ken Nerlove, owner of Elkhorn Peak Cellars, at a tasting in Napa Valley. His Pinot Noir along with his humor, found a place in my memory. Last year I recorded his daughter Elise as part of the Save the Family Farms Podcast (#374). For this podcast I met with both of them on my first trip back to Napa in over twenty months.
