We spoke with Christian over the phone while he was visiting the US. This came after sampling some of the Schloss Johannisberg Rieslings. The fact is, there is a reason why their wine is called legendary.

You would have to look pretty hard to find Colombard and Tannat grapes grown in Napa Valley….but Yannick Rousseau is in fact, doing just that. Yannick who is from France and his wife Susan, who is from Texas, own Y. Rousseau wines and they make their wine in the southen end of Napa Valley.

We met with Yannick in April of this year to find out what brought a Frenchman to Napa to make wine.
