Heading east over Howell Mountain you’ll find Pope Valley. While regarded as part of the Napa Valley AVA, Pope Valley is just east of St Helena and is unlike the busy Valley it parallels. This is part two of our interview with the owners of Pope Valley Winery, this time featuring Vintner and family member David Eakle. Like many Vintners, David wears several hats along with his sister Diana Eakle Hawkins, whom we featured in podcast 643. David took time out during harvest to give us a glimpse into his world of wine. Being at the winery was like being in a time machine.
