Its not unusual to find small production wineries will often grow less common grapes. Thats one of many reasons wine lovers seek these winemakers. One of those winemakers is Pietro Buttitta, proprietor of Prima Materia Vineyard & Winery in Oakland, with Vineyards located in Lake County. Pietro chatted with me by phone a week ago talking about the wines and food that made him become a winemaker.
