Chiles Valley is a very special part of Napa Valley, hidden away from huge crowds but still very visitor friendly. I would call Chiles a bit more of an adventure in wine. But then great wine is always worth the search. I visited Maxville Winery and met up Consulting Winemaker Jean Hoefliger as well as Winemaker Bastien Lucas. Lots of laughs with an old friend as well as a new friend. Get out your GPS and make the trip. The wine will be well worth it.
You can hear Bastien on our Vino Lingo segment defining the term “Never Half Ass”.
You can also hear Jean defining the term “Truth”.

The winemakers featured range from Napa Valley, Arizona, Virginia, Paso Robles, Oregon and other regions. Sip a glass and crack a grin as we present Vino Lingo 2022 so far…
