It’s interesting to point out that our last three podcasts have featured women winemakers. The wine industry has been dominated by men but for the last couple decades, women have come to the front to be recognized as some of the very best in the field. Evyn Cameron is the Winemaker at Crocker & Starr in Napa Valley and in fact she succeeded the accomplished winemaker/co-owner Pam Starr. We spent a bit of time on the phone catching up with Evyn last week. In the end, it’s all about the wine. And in the end, Evyn puts her experience and heart into every bottle.

Once in a while we meet up with a winemaker that is actually a native of Napa Valley. Imagine that! Jeff Cole is Winemaker at Sullivan Rutherford Estate and his original plan was quite a bit different than you might expect. But we’ll let Jeff tell you all about that. While we are currently unable to travel to the winemakers, we didn’t let the pandemic stop us from chatting by phone. We spoke with Jeff just a couple weeks ago so it’s possible tasting rooms may have revised their reopening plans. Be sure to check out their website to learn more.
