Making wine in Napa Valley for over 20 years now, Henrik Poulsen brings great experience to the table, as well as his very own brand, Release. While Release is bottled is small quantities, I find that is the type of wine many of our listeners look for. Originally from Denmark, Henrik has made Napa Valley his home and with that has grown some truly exceptional wine. In addition, Henrik is also a Consulting Winemaker. Often, the smaller the wine, the greater the prize.

The Vinoce Winery tasting room can be found in the city of Napa in a cozy space close to the Napa river. Vinoce’s winemaker Keith Emerson wears many hats when it comes to making wine. That keeps harvest all the more interesting. The fact is, I’ve always felt that the smaller quantity production a wine label offers, the greater the focus. Yep, small is good.

Our last visit with Tom Gamble of Gamble Family Vineyards was back in September of 2016 (Podcast #199) and now we are back in the Valley, in person with Tom. Gamble Family Vineyards is hidden in plain sight just off highway 29 and well worth the find.
