Our very first interview with Sam Baxter dates back to November of 2009, Podcast #9. We’ve done a few more interviews over the years between, so it was good to catch up once again. I visited Sam at the home of Terra Valentine on Spring Mountain in May. While the earth was still scorched from the recent fire, the view from his property was simply breathtaking. Sam makes great wine and I am a fan. I have no problem admitting it. Why not learn about one more great wine, right?

Elise Nerlove, Co Owner of Elkhorn Peak Cellars was on a mission along with Save the Family Farms, to give small wineries the ability to host tastings and direct-to-consumer wine sales to the public in Napa Valley. Family farms have always been a focus of this podcast. Elise with her dad, Ken Nerlove, operate Elkhorn Peak Cellars in the southern end of Napa Valley. This isn’t the first time I’ve met up with Elise and Ken, and likely not the last. It’s simply just too much fun hanging out with them!
