While the new year always gives us something to look forward to, we were saddened by the passing of a Napa Valley Legend, Volker Eisele. Volker’s focus and contributions to the future of the Valley are exceptional and he will be missed. We consider it an honor to have spent some time at the winery talking with Volker back in 2011…and without a doubt, it’s one we’ll never forget. Special thanks to Alex Eisele for setting the interview up. Our deepest sympathies to the Eisele Family.
This is part one of the interview.

Judd Finklestein of Judds Hill Winery is one of the most visible winemakers in Napa Valley. When he’s not serenading visitors with his ukelele or making wine or making music in general he is telling great stories of Napa Valley….and always with a laugh and a smile.
We were very happy to sit down with Judd at the winery and get a small peak into his world…fresh from harvest 2014.
