We met with Scott during day of the Pinot Noir Auction at the Allison Inn & Spa. There was a huge buzz previous to the auction and in the end, the association brought in over one million dollars. We truly believe a sense of humor keeps a winemaker going. Tom Mortimer made me laugh at every turn. Tom is proprietor of Le Cadeau Vineyard in the Chehalem Mountains AVA of Oregon and considering how hard he has worked to grow grapes while keeping the birds away from the vineyard, among other threats, his humor is intact. We won’t even talk about the racoons. But he takes his wine seriously. We met with Tom at the Le Cadeau tasting room, an elegantly appointed space featuring fine wine tastings and even some rocks.
