The
wine industry relies heavily on equipment and supplies designed to
create some fantastic vintages. Pumps, fork lifts, corks, capsules,
barrels, optical sorters, the list goes on. Life Between the Vines
was invited to the WIN Expo 2019 for the first time. WIN is Wine
Industry Network and the expo was a trade show as well as wine
seminars. We interviewed a handful of vendors as well as a couple old
friends at the show to give you a further look behind the scenes in
the crazy world of winemaking.
We love small wineries. It’s no
secret. The smaller, the better. And the better chance a visitor
gets to meet the winemaker. Baldassari Family Winery has a tasting
room in the sweet little downtown of Windsor, in Sonoma County. If
you visit there, likely you’ll meet owner and winemaker Matt Michael.
It’s a family business and we’ll let Matt explain the name
difference. It may be small, but the wine is mighty.
