Grapes that are grown in the Morisoli Vineyard are very special indeed. They find their way into some truly exceptional Napa Valley wines. Not surprising considering the vineyard is located in one of Rutherford’s finest growing neighborhoods. Chris Morisoli is fifth generation having grown up in this little slice of heaven. We had a great conversation after a rainy walk in the vineyard. Nothing better than talking wine with a Tractor Pilot.

This time around I find myself in Chicago visiting with Justin Seidenfeld, Sr, Vice President of Winemaking & Winegrowing at Rodney Strong Vineyards in Sonoma. In town for a wine event, Justin has had a lot going on since our last interview back in October, 2016, including Rowen Wines and Cooley Ranch. As Justin knows, several vineyards and many miles makes for some exceptional wines.
