Joe Juniper is a busy guy. He is Co-Owner and Winemaker at Vermillion Valley Vineyards in Vermillion, Ohio but he is also President of the Ohio Wine Producers Association. He has developed relationships with winemakers all over the country. Like I said, Joe’s a busy guy. I caught up with him at the winery in August and finally got the story on wines from the west side of Cleveland. The state of Ohio produces excellent wines, but don’t take my word for it. Taste!

Science is obviously a huge part of winemaking and Livermore Valley is surrounded by some of the most important science in the country. The winery is friendly and charming as well as loaded with historic artifacts of the wine industry. But chatting with Lanny is the best part. Experience, knowledge and love of wine, all finds it way into the bottle.
