Premiere Napa Valley is back in full force for 2023. Winemakers from all over the Valley have created special lots for the auction to support the Napa Vintners. Our last PNV podcast was in 2020 so it was a very happy reunion of winemakers and the trade to be together at various wineries for tastings during the final week of February. Ken Nerlove and his daughter Elise are owners of Elkhorn Peak Cellars and in 2023 they’ve made the leap to add Cabernet Sauvignon to their portfolio. This really is a big deal. Ken has been growing Pinot Noir and Chardonnay since the 80’s and Cab presents its own special challenges. This family partnership between father and daughter is what Napa Valley wines were built on. Elkhorn Peak is a very special place and watching this family grow, is really something to see.
