On a trip to Ocala, Florida back in April of 2021 I happened upon Sokol Vineyards, which eventually lead me to Katya Vineyards Restaurant in downtown Ocala. For those who are not familiar with this part of Florida, Ocala is regarded as the horse capitol of the US. You can drive for miles along country roads and pass incredibly beautiful ranches for as far as the eye can see. Katherine Deras (or Katya) and her parents David and Patricia Sokol are owners of the restaurant and winery which operates in a very special way. Once again, its all about family.
