Our story today takes place in the Rockpile AVA, found to the north west of Santa Rosa in Sonoma County. Florence Vineyard sits above Lake Sonoma and is owned and farmed by Jack Florence. After growing grapes for many years Jack now bottles wine under his own label from the 18 acre property. Zinfandel and Petite Sirah grows well here and I caught up with Jack at the vineyard which offers stunning views of Sonoma as well as most excellent wine.
