I love Ohio wines and for those in the know, the state has an extensive history in wine growing dating back to the early 1800’s. Take the time to check out Leon Adams book The Wines of America, if you can find it, to learn more. Way back in 2012 I interviewed Art and Doreen Pietrzyk (Podcast 75) , owners of St Joseph Vineyard in Madison, Ohio. Today I’m back and the vineyard name has remained, Baci Winery is the grower and Lauren Fiala is the Winemaker. Lauren has a great appreciation of Ohio wine as well as the history of this vineyard. Wine education is one of her many passions but that really shouldn’t be a surprise.

Wine in Tuscany is renown world wide, representing some of the finest wines to be found in Italy. But what is old, is new, and creating the groundbreaking Vitiarium project shows the essence of the region.
