Its not uncommon for winemakers to have a background in the medical or chemical world. But our guest today is not a winemaker. Greg Lambrecht is the inventor of what is likely the most revolutionary wine related device in modern history. The Coravin is a remarkable wine tasting tool which gives wine lovers the opportunity to savor their best wines for a much longer time. I spoke with Greg by phone a few weeks ago and it was an education for me. Having used the Coravin, I am sold and my cellar tells the story.

Chateau Ste Michelle is based in Woodinville, just outside of Seattle. Joel Wright is the red winemaker at Chateau Ste Michelle and I was able to spend some time with him digging deeper into how Washington wine has become one of the most respected wine growing regions in the world.
