What could be better than making wine in a castle? Peter Velleno does in fact, make wine in a castle, in Napa Valley. Castello di Amorosa is found in Calistoga at the north end of Napa Valley and actually is easy to miss. As you head up the driveway this 13^th century Tuscan castle reveals itself to the wide-eyed visitor and begs to be explored. Built by Dario Sattui between 1994 and 2007 it is a fully functioning winery. I asked Peter if he ever got lost in the depths of the castle. You’ll have to listen to learn the answer.
