I met recently with wine journalist and author Dan Berger early one day in November and we chatted in a rather busy lobby of a Marriott Hotel. I could have listened to Dan for hours. He has seen so very much of the wine industry that it simply blows my mind. I owe a special thanks to Eric Awes for introducing me to Dan via email. While editing the audio for this podcast, I had the great pleasure of reliving our conversation in that busy lobby.

Winemaking is a passion that chooses those folks that are more than willing to work unbelievable hours in the cellar during harvest. It takes guts, determination and most importantly, a fine palate. Theresa Heredia is Director of Winemaking at Gary Farrell Winery in Sonoma and she more than qualifies as having “been chosen by wine”. Listen to her story to see why.
