Mark Henry makes Montoliva in the Chicago Park area of the North Sierra Foothills. Italian varietals from northern California, you bet! Remember, the journey is always worth it.
You can hear Mark on our Vino Lingo segment defining the term “Rustic”.

Andre Proulx is a broadcaster, wine writer and a winemaker as well as a podcaster. He makes wine in Hamilton, Ontario, Canada, and we met on our recent trip to Abruzzo, Italy a couple of months ago. Making wine in cooler climates presents many challenges not the least of which is shipping to the US. Andre and I chatted by phone a few weeks ago to get a clearer take on what Canada wine is all about.
You can also hear Andre on our Vino Lingo segment defining the term “Hybrid”.

Over the years, many of the Concord vineyards have been replanted to Vitis Vinifera to take advantage of the Grand River Valley AVA. Laurello Vineyards has been down that parth. Kim Laurello is Co-Owner and Co-Winemaker at Laurello Vineyards in Harpersfield, Ohio, along with her husband Larry. I caught up with Kim mid-harvest on one of the last warm days of September.
You can hear Kim on our Vino Lingo segment defining the term “Juicy”

And you can hear Cellarmaster Shane Horstmann define the term “Italian Water”
