Australian wine should not be overlooked. Earlier this month we attended the Australia Up Close event held in Chicago. The quality was astoundingand diversity was a big surprise. Winemakers always have a different take on how they see the world. They have more of a specific sense of nature, timing, tasting and urgency. Greg Morthole is winemaker for Davis Bynum Winery in Sonoma. Its really fascinating to hear him describing his Chardonnay. Napa Valley brings together winemakers from all over the world…and many from it’s own back yard.  Rolando Herrera is the owner and winemaker at Mi Sueno Winery. Rolando was very young when he came to Napa growing a strong work ethic, love of the land with a positive attitude. His success came from his experiences.
