One great way to appreciate Italian wine is in an Italian restaurant…in Chicago. We met with Salvatore Avallone of Villa Matilde Winery at Macello Italian restaurant just a few weeks ago. Wine education is a big thing for us and Salvatore’s vast knowledge of Italian wine history was impressive. Salvatore speaks excellent English so listen close, and you may learn a bit of Italian.

You can also hear Salvatore on our Vino Lingo segment defining the wine term “Clay Amphora”
